Pee Wee's Mtn Bike Park

TRAIL HISTORY

Pee Wee’s Mountain Bike Park is named so after the original architect and landowner, Harold “Pee Wee” Morrison. Back in the early 1990’s Pee Wee started building trail on his own private land situated just a ways southwest of downtown Lincolnton, NC. Pee Wee was a real bicycle enthusiast and is literally responsible for the birth of the mountain bike scene in the Lincolnton region. Unfortunately the local scene lost Pee Wee to prostate cancer in 1998, but as he would have wanted it the trail remains and has been kept-up by many people since his passing. In 2011 the Piedmont Area Singletrack Alliance approached Pee Wee’s family about taking over the management of his trails and that offer was amiably received. Having Pee Wee’s Mountain Bike Park in our portfolio is awesome - it’s a great trail and a beautiful piece of land. PASA is honored to represent the legacy that Pee Wee left behind for the mountain bike community in and around Lincolnton.

TRAIL DESCRIPTION

Pee Wee’s Mountain Bike Park consists of flowy singletrack through fairly open forest. Although the land does not have massive elevation changes there is still a nice amount of climb and descent. Throw in some gullies, ladder bridges, jumps, and berms and you have a good time in the making! Pee Wee’s sits right around 6 miles in length currently. Remember that the trail is private so be sure to put two dollars in the drop box at the kiosk before heading on to the trail. This helps the family pay the property tax and allows us lucky bikers access to the land!
