The Piedmont Area Singletrack Alliance (PASA) was founded in the spring of 2005 by a small core of avid cyclists who reside in and about the counties that surround Charlotte, NC. The idea behind PASA's inception is to promote land access and trail preservation, to secure land for new trail development, and to help manage and maintain both new and existing trail systems in the Central Piedmont region of North and South Carolina. This is more important than ever as the population of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County overflow into the surrounding counties. Land will only become scarcer as time passes. Help us stake a claim for public land in our local communities. Beyond being trail advocates, we will always be about having fun, riding our bikes, building camaraderie, and promoting recreation throughout the communities we encompass.
As a club we want to represent and promote anything bike related that requires access/use of public or private land. Be it cross-country, free-riding, XC-racing, BMX, mountain unicycling, etc. We have a deep respect and appreciation for all forms of cycling and openly welcome anyone who wishes to become a contributor. Whether you are into hitting the rail-trails on your comfort cruiser, cross-country mountain biking, or navigating the more technical terrain of the mountains or freeride structures, be assured that PASA has a place for you in the club.
So are you a cycling enthusiast? Are you interested in securing land, building trails, and making new friends with fellow riders and people who share common interests in the community? Come and join PASA. Help us create trails, dirt jumps, freeride parks, greenways/rail trails, and all other things cycling related in the Piedmont of the Carolinas. Help us secure permanent land access for bicycles. Let’s pull out all the stops and see what happens when dedicated people come together in the pursuit of bike trails!
