I added a Paypal link to Belmont Bicycles website tonight so that people can donate money to Bill Cherry and his family. Bill has a lot of expenses to try to recover from as he tries to physically recover as well. The economic burden that has been put on his family is disheartening. Black Bear Sighting at Poston?

So yes a couple days a go someone reported seeing a black bear while hiking out at Poston. I would have major doubts about believing this other than the fact that a black bear was spotted and captured on camera this winter near Belmont Abbey. So be on the lookout, I'd like to get a second sighting for confirmation. :!: |

PASA representative on the South Fork Corridor Focus Group

The Carolina Thread Trail has established a group of community officials, activists, and volunteers to act as a steering committee for the development of the South Fork Corridor of the Thread Trail. This section of trail will run along the river from Goat Island in Cramerton to the Spencer Mountain River Access in the Town of Spencer. A walk on The Thread

Yesterday I met with a representative of the Carolina Thread Trail to hike a section of woods along the South Fork River. It is about 1.5-2.0 miles long. Those of you who were on our X-County Ride #2 (N. Belmont to Hardin) have been on a portion of what we walked.
